Roche’s products are supported by detailed contracts with customers, including Data Protection Agreements under GDPR and Business Associate Agreements under HIPAA. Roche also requires third-party vendors and suppliers to adhere to these data protection standards, applying a quality process that includes cybersecurity and data privacy risk assessments

Business associate and data processing agreements
For customers in the United States, when serving as a business associate to customers as defined under HIPAA, Roche will enter into a business associate agreement with customers who serve as covered Entities.
In Europe, Roche will enter into a data processing agreement. The data processing agreement ensures Roche follows client instructions when processing personal data.
Other regions may require similar agreements.
