Record off-instrument tests, and transfer the results to the DMS

The Other Test Entry (OTE) app enables the cobas® pulse user to manually:

  • Input patient test results from selected off-instrument tests, including related information such as time and date of the sampling, kit, and lot number, and tranfer the data to the Data Management System.

  • Record QC test results for the off-instrument tests, including related information in the DMS.

  • Review the patient results and QC test results that have been entered on the instrument using the OTE app.

Other Test Entry (OTE) App

The Other Test Entry (OTE) app enables the cobas® pulse user to manually input and transfer patient results and related information to the data management system (DMS).

The OTE test list can be configured by the users with the support of the DMS. The tests included are:

  • Pregnancy

  • Visual urinalysis chemstrip [VUA (CS)]

  • Visual urinalysis multistix [VUA (MS)]

  • Rapid streptococcus test [RST]

  • Rapid drugs of abuse test [Rapid DAT]

  • Fecal Occult Blood Test (FOBT)

  • Gastric occult blood test (GOBT)

  • Ketones test

Other test results or vital signs can be added to the Other Test Entry (OTE) app in later versions upon request and further evaluation.

The Other Test Entry app is not intended to process patient data.
