Transforming pre-analytics at CBT³

At the Center for Blood Coagulation Disorders and Transfusion Medicine (CBT) Bonn, navify Sample Tracking together with the S4DX system, a pre-analytical solution, addressed 4 of the 8 most common pre-analytical errors reported in the literature. For example, patient identification was facilitated through digital barcode scans. Errors in inappropriate containers decreased from 0.34% to 0 errors for five consecutive quarters. Tube filling errors and missing test tubes errors decreased from 2.26% and 13.72% to 0% and 2.31% respectively in the final quarter.
