Algorithm host

The Suite is an integrated cloud-based platform intended to host Roche and partner algorithm products and to provide management of infrastructure and functional services to those algorithm products.¹

User access

The product provides user access to the hosted algorithms as well as supplementary information related to these algorithms, such as references to generic literature, medical guidelines or study data.¹

Data bridge

The product additionally supports the integration of algorithms into customer IT environments. It handles communication and transfer of data between customer IT systems and the algorithm products.¹

navify Algorithm Suite offers flexible deployment options to cater to various customer needs. Two primary options are available:

Fully cloud-based: Customers can choose a complete cloud-based solution, where the entire suite is hosted and managed in the cloud.
Hybrid solution: Alternatively, customers can opt for a hybrid solution, where some components are deployed on-premise and others in the cloud.

However, if the customer's EHR or LIS cannot connect via an API to the cloud, navify Algorithm Suite provides a third option:

Algo integration component: This component is deployed on healthcare provider-managed infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.

Ultimately, the deployment choice depends on the customer's specific needs and infrastructure capabilities.

How do healthcare professionals interact with navify Algorithm Suite and what are the supported message formats for integration?

Healthcare professionals interact with navify Algorithm Suite using their IT system(s) as soon as it’s integrated with Algorithm Suite. The data integration method can be executed based on the technical capabilities of the hospital or lab system.

For hybrid deployments, the locally installed algo integration component supports HL7 v2-based integrations.
For direct-to-cloud API connections, navify Algorithm Suite uses HTTPS/JSON-based APIs.

navify Integrator can be used to support any message format a customer may use.

Roche takes a multipronged approach to security, which includes robust threat evaluation, conducting penetration tests, web security vulnerability tests, daily network perimeter tests and continuous monitoring by a trained software team. This comprehensive approach enables us to constantly improve our security posture and ensure our digital products are secure by design. Our commitment to security is further reinforced by our ISO/IEC 27001 certification, which specifies security management best practices and comprehensive security controls for every level of our organization and products. Additionally, Roche's customer support centers use remote access capabilities to resolve issues quickly and efficiently, reducing downtime and ensuring minimal disruption to customers.

Privacy and data processing: Is there any personal data stored in the system?

navify Algorithm Suite processes personal health information, such as patient demographics, lab results and clinical observations, depending on the need of the respective algorithm. It processes only data required by the algorithm. Algorithm inputs and results are stored in audit trails with controlled access via the principle of least privilege, and are used for post-market surveillance purposes such as investigating incidents. navify Algorithm Suite does not process or store patient identifiers.
